The thing that caught me the most off guard was the foam around the snare mic to reduce the bleed from the cymbals, actually one of the most genius cheap fixes I've seen.

I really consider Derek one of the pioneers of the technical death metal in drums, he's in my opinion the most overrated drummer of the last decade. He has played in so many bands and always giving great performances . His sound is extremely clean and he has great punch despite the speed which is one of his weapons but not the only. I really respect this guy, he's one of the best extreme metal drummers out there and the thing is that he's been around for more than 15 years getting and getting better. Amazing drummer! Cheers mate!
