Agar face centre pe atom ka CN nikalna hai to aise hoga:- suppose we are calculating CN of a face-centred atom located at one of the lateral face of the unit cell! Now follow/visualize these steps a) 4 corner atoms of that same face on which centre our Atom is present
b) 4 face-centred atoms of same unit cell 2 face-centred atoms of upper & lower face & 2 face-centred atoms of forward & backward face
c) 4 face-centred atoms of another unit cell having same location as described for the face-centred atoms of same unit cell!

I have a question, ki body centred me centre Wale unit cell pe concentrate kyu kar rahe hai to find coordination no.
Means ki corner Wale unit cell ko bhi toh le sakte hai na.

In simple cubic structure the atoms are just on the corners of the cube but the structure you showed has atoms also on the face centres how is that possible..??

i have a the beginning you said the effective atom in each unit cell at the corner is 1/8 so it means each corner is in contact with 8 atoms ri8....then how do we say that there are only 6 atoms touching them??
