Take natural log of both sides, ln( 2^x + 8^x) = ln30. Now x×( ln2 + ln8) = ln30. x = ln30/(ln2 + ln8).

(2^3)^x+2^x=30
2^(3x)+2^x=30
(2^x)(2^(2x)+1)=30
ln[(2^x)(2^(2x)+1)]=ln(30)
ln(2^x)+ln(2^(2x)+1)=ln(30)
xln(2)+ln(2^(2x)+1)=ln(30)
xln(2)+2xln(2)=ln(30)
3xln(2)=ln(30)
x=ln(30)/(3ln(2))✅️
