perfect multitool for a small first aid kit. Scissors good enough to cut through clothes and I find that these small plier multitools are great as alternatives to tweezers

I do gotta mention (as a mechanic) I don't recommend this as a Keychain tool if your car has a traditional ignition switch with a key. 3 ounces is too much weight to be hanging off your ignition switch long term.

Part of what I love about the 58mm Victorinox scissors is that they ARE very small. Better for trimming nose and eyebrow hairs!

Just got an Oz Trail multitool. Its got the standard tools except for scissors. Will be my carry for the next 3 months to field test it. Eventually will try to add scissors to it, for the moment its durability will be put to the test. Just watching your show gives us great ideas in modding and pushing ultimate designs to its limits. Cheers mate. Greetings from Australia.

A good can opener on a multitool can be amazing in a pinch. I used the can opener for on my Leatherman OHT for like two years instead of getting an actual can opener.

Thank you for your opinion! I think the idea of the mini multi-tool NEXTOOL is good! Is correct! The processing quality is less good for many manufacturers in this segment! The mini multi-tool NEXTOOL is no longer listed in NEXTORCH Germany. It is still available from a few retailers and they list the materials below. 1x blade material: 5Cr15MoV. This steel is not particularly hard steel and dulls relatively quickly. 5Cr15MoV steel is a low-priced steel made in China. Many believe that the steel is too soft and dulls too quickly. This may be. On the other hand, it can also be easily sharpened. Nobody in the kitchen seems to have a problem with that. Other material "predominantly" made of 3Cr13 steel. 3Cr13 steel is a rust-resistant steel but NOT high-quality stainless steel. It's a lower-end steel that's fairly commonly used in the knife industry these days. 3Cr13 has corrosion resistance and wear resistance and is known as a "value for money" steel. Among knife makers, 3cr13 is popular for lower end knives because its price and quality allows for affordable and durable knives to be made. The 3cr13 designation follows the Chinese national standard GB/T 1220 for steel classification. Better steel would be desirable!

I think nextool is really one of if not the best multitool producer in that price range. Yes there quality control isn't perfect but because of the price it's not as big of a deal as if it happens to a Leatherman or Gerber (yes it still sucks if something is wrong). I really hope that they might release a multitool that's around the40-50bucks price range and has some better materials and quality control. I'm really curious what they might release in the future

Sounds like it's there. My first dime came looking like it was kicked across the factory floor so in that regard Id put these above Gerbers but it'd be cool to see them put a smidge more effort.

The Nextool mini is an impressive design. Although, would it be any good for backpacking and pocket carry? I say no!!! Sadly a great design and price point and are very impressive due to robust scissors and pliers ect. Just where does it fit into usage. it's far too heavy for backpacking and trouser pocket carry and keychain. and we all know the best multitool is on your key chain and always with you where ever you go. My set-up is. My, keychain, Leatherman Micra. My backpacking rucksack Swiss army knife Feildmaster and this is pushing the limit in weight for backpacking carry.
Absolutely excellent review indeed... 👍👍👍

I have the NexTool nano-pliers and I absolutely love them. Keep em with me everywhere I go.

The Flagship MINI and Cold Steel Recon 1 micro with the 2" Tanto Blade are MUSTS on your keys. One thing about the flagship mini however is that the screws can work their way out bouncing around with your keys in your pocket. Keep them tightened down, and check reasonably often!

Thank you for the review! I think I might replace my Victorinox Rambler + LM Style PS combo with this single tool.

I dig it. I really wish someone would make a good pair of dedicated folding scissors (scissors only), and I think Nextool are well positioned to do it. Something like the Flagship scissors would be perfect.

The best part about the Dime is the package opener. I've not found anything in that size range that matches. That said, the scissors, pliers, and knife on the Nextool are definitely better by a huge margin

I used to carry the Leatherman dime and after breaking three of them i stopped buying and returning them. I wasn't even using them all that rough it was just way to loght weight to be useful. I will look at this nextool for my next micro multitool.

I’m loving mine so far, only issue I’ve noticed is the screw for the scissors loosing up with use. Maybe I can fix it with a little thread locker?

I own a Leatherman Micra and a Nextool Mini. Sure, the Nextool's scissors are great for cutting PP strapping or other heavy-duty tasks. But it is completely unsuitable for cutting fingernails or small scraps of skin! Anyone who works with wood and has had to remove a splinter or two will definitely do better with the Micra! Also, the pliers are too weak for me. My EDC tool of choice is therefore the Micra. I use a knife for packages. I always carry one anyway. Also, I always keep a 300 in the glove box if I need some decent pliers...

Considering that the squirt and micra are up to 60 plus dollars on Amazon and seeing how good the scissors are and getting pliers I believe that this is probably my favorite small multi tool/keychain multi tool

Any chance you could tag or edit the tags for this video to include "gerber dime" and "leatherman removable bit driver"? :) Would make it useful for others to know they can use the bit kit with the Dime.

Great design, but I’ve had three which the spring clips broke on. Gave up eventually.
