On September 28 1994 I flew from New Jersey to San Diego to donate a kidney to my sister Margie. After a successful transplant I woke up missing a rib and in pain. I was released to back to my sister's house and heal up. First let me say I was a huge Joe Montana fan considered Steve Young not same player. The Chiefs had just beat the niners. Steve Young was beat up in that game but stood in there like a warrior. Then in October I layed on my sister's couch and watched the Eagles pound the niners 40-8. George Seifert singled out Steve and I saw his grit and determination come out as he stood behind the head coach and yelled at him. I think that loss ended up being a win for the whole team. Then a couple of weeks later in Detroit Steve got hit hard and was literally crawling on the turf. You can't teach the grit he possessed. I associate that season with my sister Margie who passed away in 2006 from complications from diabetes. She was the oldest of six kids and our bond is unbreakable. I would do it all again and I'm sure Steve Young would to. Joe who?
