Today we Leave Chiang Mai, Thailand and enter a wildlife refuge to the north. After an arduous journey around blind curves on a one lane road, we discover our lodging arrangements have been shattered and we are forced to find alternate digs. Enjoy the Ride!

love the rustic charm of the guest rooms of the mountain villages in south east Asia. I don't mind paying a little extra for the ambience. you generally get rewarded for it the next day so don't cut your self short just because you think the price is a bit more than what you'd expect. keep up the good work I love your tour's on the back roads on your bike.

Thanks for making your videos of Northern Thailand they were very interesting. I now would like to visit and like you travel from place to place and join in activities with the local Thai people. Before viewing your videos i had planned to visit Southern Thailand being a beach person but you have opened my mind to seeing much more of Northern Thailand. Thank You. Roy from Scotland. I'm impressed by the amount of beautiful places you visited on one trip. The nail sticking out on chairs seems to be a common occurrence in Asia. I've ripped many a pair of pants on nails and sharp objects on seats lol

Lucas, you have the comedic timing of a genius...14.58 you explain Vee goes to look at roadside produce...and she has a hard time saying no to bargains so she bought some stuff..."as we went on this trip we got a growing collection of things, you'll see as time progresses what we end up with..." At 15.31 you cut to a van very similar to yours coming along the road overloaded with hay...For a second I thought it was your van and Vee had gone on a mad spending spree...I nearly spat my coffee out in shock!!! Brilliant timing, the laugh really cheered me up, thanks.

By the time I see your video this morning, I already have breakfast, so I have a big cup of coffe while I watch it. I watch videos from other YouTubers in Thailand, Retired Working for You, Chocolate man in Thailand etc. Sir You are the Best in my humble opinion. I have been going to Thailand for nearly 20 years now my wife is thai from udon thani. I have done a fair bit of travelling around and always the experiences I've had with local culture and suppose more mondain definitions of thai culture have been my more fond memories eg the local markets thais cooking the country way.and the situations that seem to just pop up. And in your videos you capture this which I enjoy and feel very nostalgic to me. I hope you take this as a compliment to your vloging /YouTube ing skills

Another great vlog. Thank you for not pretending everything was hunky dory. I used to do a lot of backpacking staying in places like the first couple you showed us. Nowadays my backpacking is in 4* hotels!!! Younger days backpacking = fun and adventure...backpacking now = comfort and convenience...

The back to nature resort looks really cool. Similar to the bungalow I normally stay in Koh Samui - has a bathroom and electricity bu no fridge, air con or tv.

That's 1 of the best things about Thailand. Even when things don't go as planned, there's usually a good/better alternative around the corner.
