I completely agree! I spend 99% of my time with just a pencil or pen to get a better hold of proportions, depth, perspective, and everything else. Then once I'm happy with that I'll move onto other mediums.

Do I really need to tell you how much I agree? Because I just don‘t seem to find words that could even come CLOSE to describing it. Tbh, drawing whenever I can and even having started out with it was probably the best decision I’ve ever made!

I always thought that I needed good art or markers when I was younger I ran myself into a spiral of not being able to make it perfect until I just started drawing to draw and I slowly started to get better and thanks for reminding me that it doesn’t always have to be something your super proud of !

this video reminded me of my brginnings as an artist, sitting there on the porch of an old school building, just a mechanical pencil and a moldable eraser in a mini playdoh container. i dont like much of my art from back then, but i felt a little bit of joy and a lot of nostalgia remembering how much fun i had, and still have, with my art.
