How to make the quilt as you go hexagons. I've sewn them into a runner for my dining table and also finished the edges with some needle lace.
The Hexiform is from Ashmead Designs. Here is the link to their website.

I love watching you stitch. You have had a lot of experience at hand stitching, I see. Your stitches are very uniform and tidy.

What a joy and a pleasure to watch a left handed stitcher! Your explanations and directions are quite clear always, but I so appreciate the opportunity to watch a fellow south paw! Ive never done needle lace and am eager to give it a try.
Thanks also for the link for the hexiforms.
I’m so happy I found your channel! Can’t wait to see the dress.
I’m quite useless at business too, but I do love to make stuff, not following patterns, just what is in my own head.

The runner looks so pretty on your table. I love all the fabrics you have collected on this piece. I can see how relaxing and enjoyable is to spend time stitching the hexies together. I also enjoy very much seeing you work. The way you teach and your smooth voice is very calming. Thanks Marion, have a good week!

Marion I want you to know I made a whole quilt with this technique you taught me. I used all floral fabrics and it looks like a garden. Thank you!

This is why I love slow stitching, it is so peaceful and gives you time to relax and reflect on your ideas as you come along with a project to completion. It is wonderful!

How lovely. A great way to do hexes. About 40 years ago I started a paper piecing Hexie quilt. Never finished it but have been considering using the pieces in another way. Some lovely material in it from scraps from sewing. Memories of clothing I had.

It was lovely listening to your explanation of the joy of QAYG hexies - I agree that the joy is no basting, a project that is completely finished when you are done and the beautifully framed miniature pieces of art! 😍 Such a nice touch to finish off with the needle lace. Hope you had a lovely birthday!😊

This is such a good idea, and a brilliant way to use up all those vintage linens - I love it :-)
