I really wish I could watch this and not come to the conclusion decolonizing is a weird cult, but I just can't. All the ingredients are there.

Also, you think 20% not graduation High School is bad? The graduation rate for California high school students was 84% in 2020. In Chicago, the place you are giving the Ted talk, the graduation rate was 82.5% in 2020. Strange as it may seem, that isn't a low graduation rate.

For the record, I didn't picture anyone when I heard about Jason. There's a name, a person who has a good character. Why would I associate a face with any of that? Such nonsense. Guess I don't need to have my mind decolonized. If that's the speaker's point though, why not just say "preconceptions are empirically bankrupt nonsense"? Probably because the speaker (presumably, given the flow of the video) doesn't care about the accuracy of perception, only about imposing some weird ideology.

Decolonizing our mind would remove the divisions by race, because there is one human race and white are not superior. It is learning to throw off the ideology of the oppressor
