Since Yorktown was an early name proposal I thought that this model would have the nacelle spikes since they are a feature of the earliest version of the ship.

I'm afraid I'd feel compelled to squeeze in a "U." in front of the "S.S."

I absolutely love these videos! I never buy a model without consulting your reviews. Thank you!

And when she finishes her refit a few years later, she'll be rechristened USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A. On another note, I like how STO's Agents of Yesterday update featured this style USS Yorktown in the Prime Universe, but when you travel to the Kelvin Universe you encounter the JJ-Style USS Yorktown. It was a nice touch, IMO.

That's just my random musings on the USS Yorktown lol.

Always great stuff man.

I'm an American with a father from an 100% Irish family, so I've always had a soft spot in my heart for your channel.

Keep doing what you do! :)

Very nice ship. A question though, why is it S.S.Yorktown, and not U.S.S.Yorktown?

I couldn't find the regular USS Enterprise NCC-1701 anywhere online for under 70 US dollars. So i got this one instead and it looks great (;

I can't tell from the angle you show but do the Enterprises have that same gaping secondary hull seam as the Yorktown?

Since she belongs to the Constitution class she should have a U.S.S. designation along with her name and registration number

I know its meant to be a "Limited Edition" but when is it going to become avalible on the Australian Online Store, Its Sold out on the UK online Store and the US Online store still has it but when is the option going to be avalible down under? I know eaglemoss can't seem to send me more than one model a month but can't they at least offer the SS Yorktown on their store.

bye look negatives of that bit to much for me shame my enterprise from orgnal series doesn't have those lines so bad.

I'd love to get the defiant version

Very disappointed with mine, the secondary hull was wonky and the nacelles were off. How the hell could they allow that to happen?

Indeed, all of them gorgeous. I picked mine up for the same price at DSTE back in October... just something that a true collector must have. 50th anniversary special... and that makes it more interesting as Gene originally wanted to call the ship Yorktown, not Enterprise. :) So it's a true piece of history. :) Nice little review as always. _\\//

Though it would nice t have it in the collection, I am going to have to skip it for now. Glad you are feeling better Damien. Have a good weekend and thanks for that video.

Quite a good model of the Constitution class! The paint is quite impressive

Got a few questions.

I am starting to get into running a tabletop star trek roleplaying game, trying out the new rules.

But for this i am looking to use some ships to represent what they are flying around in, and perhaps some to show what they meet.

And i have been thinking of investing into the Attack wing/fleet captains ships, to get a bunch of them, or buy fewer but larger and nicer looking in the starship collection.

Would you say that the bigger ships, are well suited for tabletop roleplaying?

Also, how small does the DS9 model feel next to the galaxy class ship?

And how often do they get out of stock ships and stations back in stock?
