What are 21st Century Skills? What are the 4Cs?

The past 20 years have seen the rise of the 21st Century Skills and 4Cs in education and language learning. These skills have been around for thousands of years, so why are they so popular now? This session will look at the history of integrating these skills into language classrooms and the benefits of doing so.

We often talk about “teacher-centred” vs “student-centred” classrooms. This session will explore developing the 4Cs to put learning at the centre of our classrooms. We will look at using new learning technology to create an environment for better learning outcomes in language classrooms.
