My theory is it has a ounce of Australum in it that powers it.
It then uses a vacuum to extract carbon and water from the air.
The metal it's dispensing is actually laminated graphene layers produced by the carbon.
And for ammo it's puts the water through electrolysis and compresses the gas to make the explosive for bullets, rockets, bombs, and even fuel for pyro.
Still have no clue how healing works.

Random fact I found on Google. Both male and female bullfrogs vocalize, but the “jug-o'-rum” mating song of the male is the louder and more familiar. Other calls signal territory ownership, warning and distress. ... Males sing to attract females to their territories. Males sing “station” along the bank that they defend and return to night after night.
