L.A. man killed in D.C. lightning strike identified

Brooks Lambertson, 29, died Friday, marking the third fatality out of four victims.

It's a fact that standing under a tree must be avoided during lightning..sitting in a car or bus or truck is most safe because the electric charges stays on the outer metallic surfaces of these vehicles and safely get deposited in the ground protecting the person sitting inside.

I live in the area and it came on suddenly… if you were on a stroll through the city and got stuck in the storm that came in suddenly with mostly lightening than rain, theres not many places to just run into… government buildings all around and stores and restaurants further down but if you’re a tourist you dont know where to quickly go to take cover
