Aptima CMV Quant assay: CVS 2022 Industry Workshop – Amorce Lima, PhD, MB (ASCP)

Dr. Amorce Lima, PhD, MB (ASCP) presented data from a research study completed at Tampa General Hospital, one of the leading and busiest transplant programs in the U.S. Their study compared the Aptima® CMV Quant assay to the ELITech MGB Alert CMV ASR and the data showed excellent correlation of analytical and clinical performance between both assays. In addition, the study highlighted the benefits of the Aptima® CMV Quant assay on the fully automated Panther® system vs ELITech instrument systems in terms of random access, ready-to-use reagents, minimal hands-on time and higher sample throughput.
