Beat the summer heat with delicious homemade lemonades! In this episode, Jamie is showing how to make 3 different kinds: traditional lemonade, blueberry-mint lemonade and beet-ginger lemonade.

Lemonade Ingredients:
Lemons
Sweetener (Sugar, Agave, etc)
Herbs & Fruits/Veggies (Blueberries, Mint, Beet, Ginger)

Kitchen Tools:
Knife
Cutting Board
Peeler
Stirring Spoon
Liquid Measuring Cup
Strainer
Blender

Lemonade aka THE CLASSIC
Step 1: Make Lemon Juice
Step 2: Make Sugar Water
Step 3: Mix Ingredients together
Step 4: Garnish Rim of Glass

Blueberry Mint Lemonade aka THE REFRESHING
Step 0: (Make Lemon Juice; not shown)
Step 1: Make Flavored Sugar Water
Step 2: Blend Ingredients
Step 3: Strain Ingredients
Step 4: Garnish Rim of Glass

Beet Lemonade aka THE BLUSHING GINGER

Just a tip, if you microwave your lemons for a few seconds before squeezing, you get almost 2x the amount of juice. ;)

I made an all out citrus one with 4oranges, 2lemons, and a 1lime. then I mixed some sparkling water. although, the next time I made it, I decided to experiment and added in some powder drink mix that was raspberry flavored!

If you roll down your lemons with a bit of force before cutting them in half you release a lot of the juices, that way, when you squeeze them you get the most out of them.
