From somebody who is now 32 years old and who’s last handheld console was the Gameboy Colour…I was simply blown away by the cutscenes and gameplay of this game. No it’s not up to PS5 / Xbox Series standards but it shouldn’t be. I think a lot of people have forgotten what games are all about…and that’s fun. I’ve had a blast playing this game for the few hours I’ve owned it…I can see around the flaws because in my eyes they aren’t really flaws at all. We are blessed to be able to play such games on a handheld console.

So basically, this confirms a new Nintendo Switch is coming out soon and will likely be backwards compatible. Why else would EA spend the time and money to create a new version using Frostbite on the Nintendo Switch?

Nice to see EA SPORTS FC 24 on Nintendo Switch finally got total improvements and somehow, much better than even the PS5 & Xbox Series X ports.

Right now (Feb. 1) in the U.S., this is on sale on the eShop for $24 ... after seeing this review, I went ahead and put my last bit of Christmas eShop cash toward it. Hopeful EA (and other third-party sports game devs) continue to see Nintendo as a viable platform. I haven't played a FIFA since like 09, so I reckon the technical performance issues won't affect my enjoyment much :)

can you play 4 players locally on 1 switch? 2v2 for example with additional controllers.

Bro, I read people saying FIFA 23 is better just because it runs at 60fps and I get it, but bro it feels more like an arcade game compared to today standard
This new engine running in the Switch is massively a better experience, even though the 30fps, which I don't care about cause you get used to it almost instantly.
In short YES it has flaws, but in terms of actual gameplay it is a HUGE improvement. I highly recommend it.

Ps. If you wanna feel it a bit smoother you can change the game pacing to fast in the settings.

I think reviews need to stop comparing the Switch version to other more console versions because we know that the Switch version can’t match up to the more powerful PlayStation and Xbox in terms of performance and graphics quality, for the Switch FC24 is the best looking version on the Switch by far thanks to the frostbite engine being used.

Meanwhile IGN gives the Switch version a 4/10 (where the older Fifa 17 on Switch was 7/10). IGN really be sniffing that good stuff.

Does anyone know if the stats carry from year to year for players on manager mode. Basically does it show the year to year stats for a player?

Finally!!!! A better upgrade for switch. By far the best football game EA did on switch. I picked it up for only $25 and for that price totally worth it. Better engine, no longer stiff ps2 feeling of player movement, more animations and Volta!! Finally took ea to lose their license to wake up. My only complaint is playing on monitor looks terrible just enjoy on handheld mode
