Destin and Dianna have been friends for many years, and recently Destin was able to make a trip out to visit Dianna while she is ill. He shares his story here.

(For those that do not know Dianna) Dianna Cowern is a Youtube science communicator and educator who came down with Long COVID after getting COVID in Summer of 2022. Since then she has developed MCAS, ME/CFS, and Dianna has been bed-bound for almost a year now. We share her story here to bring awareness to her situation and to the millions of people suffering from chronic fatigue around the globe.

I have CFS/ME, but I have recovered to some degree. Please don’t lose hope. Your post viral syndrome is real whether or not your care providers validate your experience of it. At least today, there seems to be less ignorance about the possibility of even getting this condition - when I was at my sickest, care providers totally invalidated my illness. Thank god I ignored hem and did what I needed to get better.

I'm sorry for her. I'm not nearly as bad as her but have never fully gotten over it for well over a year. I get unable to eat for 5 to 7 days at a time. Very real thing. I will definitely be hoping she gets well. I miss her videos
