I love how Caleb is everyone's dad who's not angry really, they're just really, really disappointed in you and YOU BOUGHT WHAT

I love the rise of these financial content creators THAT ARE ACTUALLY TEACHING YOU HOW TO MANAGE YOUR MONEY. And not upselling you on their course.

Can't wait until Caleb asks me what's in my emergency account: a few boxes of rice and beans, and a $25 Target Gift Card.

If you're in a STEM field, NEVER PAY FOR YOUR PHD. If the university is semi decent, they should have grants paying for PhD students to do their research and degrees. This dude was scammed.

$1, 500 in rent for 1 bedroom and making $130k is expensive? 😭 I was making $50k at my first salaried job and paying $1, 500 for rent (1 br) and still maxes out my Roth IRA every year. Plus we got federal and state taxes out here eating my money and I was making out better than him. It’s really what you do with the money, not how much you make.

Thanks for the video, Caleb. Found your channel about a month ago and it's inspired me to pay off my credit card debt and currently working on getting my car paid off fully by Dec. Thanks for what you do, it's definitely helping people!

"now that I see it, that's a lot" - everyone when they finally review their spending

Wow, that rent being bad really made me jump. I forget how bad rent is in NYC until you hear it from another pretty major city that complains about rent. 1500 for a 1 bedroom would be a fantastic deal in NYC.

This situation mirrors mine pretty closely, numbers not matching. Fighting the “me want” part of the brain to eat out and buy shiny things has been such a struggle for me and seems to be his issue here. I just wish I had as big of a shovel as he does to get out of debt.

Started watching your videos a week or so ago. Basically my background noise at work... I didn't realize how buried I was in debt till watching some of these other people make 2-3x more and have the same or less. I am in for a long and hard struggle but I think I can cut back and help. Thank you for teaching about finances its something our school system fails to do.

I watch these knowing Caleb would freak about my student debt (because same) but these have motivated me and my husband SO much to get them done with.

Linus is an expert businessman and totally understands that you gotta get your finances in order before buying his merch

Just pay off the phone debt yourself and forgive it for your parents and use that to set boundaries and tell them you'll never lend them money in the future and that you want to focus on yourself. And cancel the cash value life insurance right away, it's a scam.

In two years they have paid back $300 on a $600 loan? So they pay $10-15 a month? If they can’t pay off $600 in 2 years, they probably shouldn’t be buying iPhones. Just saying.

I don’t think he will clean up this mess without drastic lifestyle changes, like skipping travel for a year or two. Would love an update in a year with him

Wow, I don't make anywhere that much but having no credit card debt, not wasting money, and being generally responsible allowed me to buy a house.

Whenever I see these people who make like $5000 a month AFTER TAXES and yet they somehow spend all of it I get so mad like I could save so much with that I could buy a first-class ticket back home twice a year and not even feel bad about it 😩
