Literally anyone with two working ears can hear that she cannot hit that last octave without straining. I understand that yg wants to show off the groups vocals but shit like this stops being impressive when people can tell that the vocalist is straining in order to hit a certain note. you guys are gonna come for me… it is amazing that ahyeon have a wide vocal range, she can hit those high notes, her voice IS GREAT, but being able to HIT those notes doesnt always mean that it is pleasant to hear, im not as talented as her for sure and i can never sing like her, but without the autotune her high notes sounds really unpleasant here… this is not hate at all im just saying that sometimes maybe its best not to put unnecessary high notes in songs, also singing like this for long periods of time will only damage her vocal cords, let ahyeon vocals rest a little pls😭🎀✨

tbh yg is overdoing it with the high notes. ahyeon is talented but even the most vocally skilled singers can damage their voices over time from doing complicated vocal tricks. ahyeon is not a proficient vocalist, they need to stop giving her high notes that she’s basically squeezing out. plus a high note is so unnecessary in a hip hop song
