It is surprising to see a leader like him, equating Productivity with working hours. That sums up the Indian IT service industry in a nutshell.

Completely disagree about the 70 hours a week!!! According to the 70 hours work week we will be the best country, BUT AT WHAT COST?
What will that individual achieve after working 70 hours a week?
Good health? Good family? Good companion? Happiness? Fulfillment? What will the individual achive?
If the individual is aiming for success after working 70 hours a week, I would like that individual to define success?

Yes already 30hrs in traffic for work commuting counts to 70 hours.

As mentioned if all pillars work together to strengthen the quality of life & reduces bureaucracy and corruption, one can give optimally in 40 work hours that includes creative & innovative mantras. Respect human life.

He is Definitely CRAZY!! As it is there is no work life balance in india.right now with 46hrs weekly, in Mumbai ppl leave home by 8am n return by 9.30-10pm. Leaving no time for exercise or walk or anything.we r dead tired by the time we get home.does he expect all professionals to sleep in office?? I would really want to know his answer.

Do not agree with him about working 70 hours. We should get more productive in the 40-45 hours. Japan and Germany have low fertility rates and high suicide rates on account of unrealistic work ethics. Our youth should live a balanced life with enough time for physical exercise, family life and rest along with a productive and happy work life.

Anyways we are already working round the clock and even on weekends to support the projects and even night shifts. We work like donkey s so that their children have a easy life with billion dollars without evem working. They just want us to work for them . I was working at infosys bpo some years ago they used to pay peanuts, even the vegetable vendor would earn lot more than us . Will they pay us like the germans or orther countries.

This is madness. 70 hours working weekly? So that the promoters and founders of the company become billionaires and average employee would get minuscule share. It’s a strategy that doesn’t benefit the country rather corporate firms at large.

Surprising to see him talk about 70 hours. Even if we work for 40-50 hours with full dedication it's enough. 70 hours will burn you out and reduce your efficiency in addition to neglecting your family. What is missing in India is full dedication to work during working hours.

Actually i worked for 75 hours a week for more than 15 years. I got the career growth by doing that but sacrificed lot of other things. Salary increase was 20% every year but the company i worked for for millions of dollars increase.

What we get for the hardwork is not even 0.001% of the actual revenue of the company. That's the mindset of the companies we work for.

The question is why should anyone work so much for the companies when they don't reciprocate ?

He surely wants us to work 70 hours week but not for the country, but for the benefits of his own company
