What Really Happened With Keystone Mountain Safety!

This has so much unseen footage from my encounter with the Keystone Mountain safety. In this video, I break down not only that we listened to mountain safety but that they lied about our actions in order to make us take a safety class. The safety class is a big deal because keystone can pull our pass if we get stopped again for 2 weeks, the whole season, and even the next season! I would like to get this black mark taken off of our season passes and a public apology because keystone's vail resorts employees lied about us. Sadly I am sure this was not the first time this happened.

Former instructor here. In control, looking over and uphill on those crossovers, on the brakes when needed, and at no point did I see a SLOW banner y’all carry through at cruising speed. 100% that patrol boarder was jealous of your style and control.

I've never seen something like this in a European resort. Slow areas are more of a trust thing. Big slow sign, the resort staff just trust you to slow down.

#1. Keep video footage
#2. Legal posted notices of policies are mandatory even at ski resorts such as this crazy policy which should be posted for the public to see. Additionally it is a good idea to have speed limit signs, not just “slow” signage because that is subjective and legally undefinable. Are safety patrol employees using speed check equipment like police officers?
#3. There needs to be a warning system as in first time offenders are given a verbal warning before needing to take a class, such as with being pulled over by police and public transport security that all use this verbal warning system. They put your name into their database and if you repeat the offense within 30 days then you are found liable and subject to consequence.
#4. Try not to feel threaten when someone says they are calling the sherif and if this is said to you know your rights and immediately say “I need access to an attorney before I can continue this conversation or give you any of my personal information.”
