I know how everyone is saying that he looks way cuter and that is true! But, his life may be at risk and I will tell you why. Golden Retrievers are double coated dogs and these coats work together to protect the skin. In the summer, the fur keeps the dog from getting sunburn but since he is shaved now, his skin is now unprotected. Also, he won’t be able to stay warm in the winter when outside. Lastly, his dog will no longer be able to regulate its body temperature so he may become very hot or even very cold. The dog can be shaved for medical reasons but not just to make him cute. You can not cut the fur of Golden Retriever. They have a double fur who keeps the cold and the heat. If you tell them then in the summer they are more hot than with fur and winter they are more cold.
