Holders Al Hilal were knocked out of the Kings' Cup at the quarter-final stage after losing a penalty shoot-out to a Karim Benzema-inspired Al Ittihad on Tuesday.
After a goalless first half, Benzema's deadly finishing gave Al Ittihad a 63rd-minute lead only for Salem Al-Dawsari to equalise for Al Hilal.
The game finished 1-1 after 90 minutes but Al Hilal went into the lead in extra time through Marcos Leonardo - but Benzema pulled his side level with six minutes left.
The penalty shoot-out hinged on the final two kicks - with Al Ittihad's Danilo Pereira scoring his - and Al Ittihad's Predrag Rajkovic saving Malcom's penalty to give his side a 3-1 shootout win.
