But I was close to tears when I listened to that in the game. Great job Sigourney!
I'm really pleased Sigourney chose this particular Alien game to be associated with and added a key moment to the game.

Watching Aliens after playing Isolation really changes the scene in the director's cut when they talk about Amanda, now that we've all seen the crap she had to go through. She survived all that, only to be taken out by cancer :(

It was great to find that in the game. It's the only chance for Ellen to kiss her daughter goodbye and to say that she loved her for the last time.
Yes, it's sad. Of course. What could you expect? All we know that Amanda died by natural causes while her mother was on cryosleep.

The part that gets me is when you can hear the emotion in Ellen's voice in the end.

It was great that they got the actors back for the game, I remember finding an audio log that Dallas sent to Sevastapol just before the events of Alien started about coming home. So sad

One of the best games over the past 10 years. So much fear and tension over the complete whole game! I would play the game while my wife would be around and she'd always watch to see what happens and thanks to my surround amps she would go bonkers when the alien dropped out of one of those vent shafts xD

In my mind this game is canon with the films. I don't think there's ever been a game that's managed that for me.

This game needs to be made into a movie. It'll be better than whatever Ridley Scott is doing with the franchise.
