Community members and Jackson Workers went to Rep Bileca's office to confront him on an unfair and undemocratic amendment! Bileca was on vacation.

The State House of Representatives has taken it upon itself to attack the Unions at Jackson by adding a last minute amendment to a massive healthcare bill that would strip the power of the Miami-Dade County Commission to execute and approve labor contracts with SEIU and AFSCME!

The power would be put solely in the hands of the unelected members of the Public Health Trust (PHT)! All accountability would be lost for our community's public hospital workers in bargaining and we would have no recourse in disagreements with management.
