Join me a couple hours later in the day this coming Monday the 11th of December at 5pm MST!

This week's LIVE WEBINAR will be shorter than previous as we will only be talking about NOISE in your Milky Way Photography and why not to worry about it right now. When you have done Milky Way Photography for a couple years and are ready to do stacking, star tracking and spend countless hours processing your images THEN you can worry about noise and how to get rid of it.

I want talk about a few things you can do to worry less about noise without doing very much extra and reassure many of you with crop sensor cameras and kit lenses that pushing your ISO higher to expose for the Milky Way is worth it despite the noise the average person looking at your image will never see.

Thanks for watching and see you next time!

Hey Guys, sorry to hijack your webinar but I don't have an email address to ask you questions outside your subject. Anyway I just got my new Losmandy G11g EQ Mount in with the new ATIK One Camera and want to do a timelapse/video of the unboxing and setting up. I want to shoot a video showing how to put it all together but I want to include time lapse in the video to save time. I don't think I can just shoot the time lapse in time lapse MOV mode because I don't think it can be edited. I'm guessing you would have me shoot it in RAW and then use lrtimelapse to edit it into all the other video and still shots. Is this correct? Also what size cards are you guys using to shoot all these raw files? I put in a couple of cards in my D750 and it is only showing that I can shoot a little over a 100 shots before the cards are full. Do you guys normally have to add cards during a shoot or are you using really big cards? Lastly what cards do you guys recommend? Who makes the most reliable ones. Thanks and again sorry for the hijack.

Enjoying this guys, a great help on settings and post processing. I tens to default to the noise reduction settings from David kinghams eBook as a start point, interesting to see an I'm depth processing. Also glad to see another 70D user! I'm always uncertain about how it performs at high iso but I'm getting more confident when combined with the rokinon 10mm f2.8.

Great to see your new uploads!
