Several years ago I was visiting Taiwan to see family where I was introduced to High Mountain Oolong. Before that I always had boring one-dimensional teas from a bag. But this time, as I saw the store owner meticulously warm the teaware and begin brewing the tea, I sensed that something was different. As he poured the tea from the pot to the vessel, I was hit by an incredibly refreshing scent. As I tasted the tea, I immediately realized that there was a world that I had been missing out on. The depth of tea, the changing flavors, and the knowledge and love that was put into the process left a huge impact on me. I was dismayed when I came back, and I could not find a comprehensive resource where I could learn more about tea! (There still aren't many traditional tea stores, and online resources are scarce)

It seems times have changed! Thanks for making all these videos! I look forward to trying your teas. :)

Thinking about growing some tea plants in Louisiana. Does shade cloth have a similar effect to elevation?
