I had such a hammer mill, smaller than yours, to grind up timber samples to produce sawdust for chemical analyses for preservative content to check on necessary levels for protection.

A good test, for fact. My own experience however, is that sluices tend to lose a very considerable amount of values from fine crush. It would be interesting to see how much is still in the tails on this test.

I wished I could afford some of this equipment. I have a couple of really good prospects for silver and gold but I have a bad back and it's super hard ore to pulverize. I wish I could find some loose placer gold to get me what I need but I only find hard rock ore so far.
