As Sandeep Vanga Reddy has the freedom to show whatever he wants on the screen, well, almost whatever, Dhruv Rathee or any other guy has the freedom to say whatever he wants about the film. I don't see an issue.

Bad people do bad things because they can. And, no amount of wokeism, political correctness or toxicity can change a person's morals and core values. It is an "A certified" movie, i.e. meant for adults. Watch a movie as a movie and don't watch it if you don't want to watch it.

I see a parallel between the movie and Dhruv's video. The toxicity and alpha male stuff created controversy, which kind of led to the movie doing crazy numbers, similarly Dhruv called this movie cancerous, and drew wide generalizations, which lead to lots of people responding to him and driving up his relevance.

The irony is Dhruv himself has promoted movies like gangs of wasseypur and scared games.

Animal was definitely not to my liking but i could see the positives
-Rabir the next megastar
-A director granted to bring his desired vision to reality, hope it encourages other producers to take the risk.
- Resurrection of Bobby deol

I have seen everything from Tarantino to Kurosawa and I find animal to be a pretty good commercial movie with moments of cinematic brilliance that haven’t been seen in Bollywood . Dhruv’s review just shows me how unaware he is about cinema.

Vedant Rusty, Sep 2023:
"You can't sit there and tell me that bollywood isn't a cause for this. Tere Naam, Kabir singh(Vanga's previous movie) hyped up toxicity and NORMALIZED and STRUCK DESIRE of cat calling & objectification "
(Vid: What Makes Indian Men So Creepy? 🤮)

Vedant Rusty, 3 months later:
"These games and movies don't make men act out the violence etc. that is shown. That is the most Bull C* argument. It only allows people to explore that in game and not act on those desire in real life. Tere Naam ka time gaya."

Which one is it Rusty!? Really? Which one is it?? Are you just trying to align yourself with what you think might soon become the more popular/intellectual stance? Especially, Considering the recent comments by Manoj Bajpayee and hate towards Dhruv.

I personally don't care for Dhruv and instead subscribe to Bajpayee's stance about not curbing speech and (artistic) expression for the most part. But there is a big argument to make about normalizing certain behaviour in media & pop culture (Elvish & others) and effects that it has on our janta. What do you think happens when people explore these things through movies and "game mechanics" and get a taste for it? Sure, you, I and thousands in your audience didn't. But it definitely affected some for the worse. There definitely needs to be a balance. And as prudent citizens the bollywood directors also need to keep this in mind.

I can see only one good thing from this movie that it has started a conversation around misogyny and extreme narcissistic & toxic behavior some people have and a self centered view regarding their own reality.

Here the part, this movie represents the exaggerated imagination of male mind that's why so many people can relate to it snap of a finger, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is one of us at the end of the day.
However average male control his instincts within reasonable course of action, to avoid brutal consequences that might follow and that's in my opinion what i learned from this movie.
This movie is a lose lose game when seen with the lenses of real world.

To some extent, dhruv is right with his point that Indians like that hero who is somewhat of a anti-hero in nature and does a lot of violence because we can't do that in real life but we can live that through the movies. That's why movies like Kabir Singh, Animal works. Indians are emotional and likes to watch that type of movies of intense love even if it's toxic in nature

Meanwhile Dhruv Rathee also promoted "Gangs Of Wasseypur" saying it's a gr8 film everbody should watch. hypocracy ki bhi koi seema hoti hai dhruv bhai. I loved animal by the way.

I have no issue with the films are art and art is creative and has creative freedom. For Vangas statements, dhruvs take on it seems understated. If something is 90% true, it can be called general because nothing is ever 100%. World is about balance and he played his part, just as vanga is mocking critics for being "Uneducated", "unaware". He gave proof for what he's saying. Maybe if you give me proof otherwise, il beleive you.

I too felt that Dhruv somehow missed the point of movie and yeah, it is A rated. That's another debate that it influences people; specifically prefrontal cortex forming humans . I felt his video completely missed the nuance.

He never generalised. He pointed out that some people in India are prone to toxicity.
