I was a hopeless drunk 3 years ago. I woke on Columbus day 2017 fat hungover and late for work. I went to work fed up. I remember finally listening to that voice I choose to call god in my head. 3 years later. I am by far from perfect I still like my sugar but I lost almost 90 pounds I run between 5 and 10 miles every other day. I have been sober for almost 3 years I do not smoke butts anymore. I was able to buckle down and get a promotion. My entire life has changed. Anyone can do it but you gotta put the work in. Like I tell people if you want what I got you gotta do what I do. PERIOD
Thanks for the positive words when needed jocko

This makes me emotional because Jocko is telling me everything my own father should have but didn't. Not because my dad is a bad father but he was just too tired from working all night and day. Thank you Jocko. I will not lead myself astray to masters that do not care for me. Its my own life and I have to take control of the wheel of my destiny.

Girlfriend bailed on me and then found out she cheated. Was having a hard time moving on and let my emotions control me. Watching many of your videos I just wanted to say thank you for always being a motivation. It's because of you that I train more and more. I am now contracted for OCS (Marine Corps) and hope to leave this summer. Thank you Jocko!!!

used to whine about being “out of shape” from working a desk job. then I realized it’s all on me. intermittent fasting, working out, and a heap of self control got me back on track 💪🏻 thanks Jocko

I was a slave, A volunteering slave I chose the easy path submerged with temptations. I became what I intended not to become. I asked myself "Is this what I really chose to be? ". Then I came here. I decided to change, took control of my life, became master of my own mind. I wanted to become epitome of discipline.
Thank you for guiding me through the right way.

I started doing keto, quit all carbs and sugar, it was easy for me as food was never an issue but portions were, the great side effect is that i no longer have pain and i am not groggy in the morning anymore. Point is the taste of success makes failure unpalatable.

Thank God for Jocko - I strayed from the path a bit recently and this is just the reminder for me to get back on.

Strength goes not come from winning. Our struggles develop our strengths. When we go through hardships, and decide not to surrender, that is strength.

to quote a great show “Every day it gets a little easier… But you gotta do it every day — that's the hard part. But it does get easier.” the hardest part of doing anything is maintaining it. Habits are like anything difficult, it just takes putting in the time and that's the hardest part.
