My friend had one of these and I had the privilege of playing it more than a few times. Let me just say that this one lives up to the name of one of the greatest synths of all time. It KILLED my T-8 and Jupiter 6 out of the jack with no FX and only got better with them. Thanks for sharing your outstanding collection. The Oberheim "sound" is jaw dropping on your recordings(OBX and OBXa included). I really like the Elka Synthex and the Arp Quadra as well. Too bad I never got to play or even see any of them(with the exception of a beat-up Xa the guy in front of me bought in a pawn shop.

I've always loved the Oberheim sound, especially on their signature polys. I only wish they weren't so expensive on the second hand market. It's ridiculous really, but I also understand that the demand outstrips the supply.
