I'm kind of glad they were fish. I had no idea at first and was picturing some sort of forrest floor bug.

Not going to lie, in a survival situation I'm not checking my state laws

My dad showed me this trick when I was a kid. We use the chips and crush them up. We throw it in the water's edge and tie it to a stake. In a few minutes we have buckets of bait.

Mr., I am a little older than, born 1950's, and I just had to commend you on your outreach. So many, and you yourself included, will be amazed in the future, when they/we are going to use your suggestions and live another day because of it. Your reserve of knowledge is getting out there. Thanks. Be wise and be safe.

Mummichog sounds exactly like the name of a Pikmin enemy. I can just imagine some balloon-shaped thing called the "Greater Spotted Mummichog" or something

FUN FACT: These fish were actually sent into space along with a bunch of their eggs. The adults had to adjust to zero gravity, but when the babies hatched they already knew how to swim in zero gravity!

I used to love setting minnow traps in the creek behind my granny’s house as a kid, Thanks for all these videos you make.

When I was a kid we called these Mollies. Now molly has a whole other meaning but thanks for teaching me what they're called.

I think this is ingenious even for a regular fishing situation! The idea that you can catch bait fish like this or even small fish to feed on is ingenious!

As a kid (90s) we didn't have a good perch trap so we used this method on 3 liter coke bottles, we usually used a balled up slice of bread as bait or the occasional can of corn
