I think it's rather odd that the concept of terrain wasn't included right from the beginning in this system. I know there were battles in the period covered by the game that were fought on fairly featureless terrain, but for every battle of that type, there were a multitude fought where a stream, hill, marsh, etc., had an effect on how and why a battle was fought in a particular location. I'm sure that if Worthington expands this system, terrain will be added, but why not from the beginning?

Thank you for the review! This does sound a bit like their reach exceeded their grasp in terms of scope. Maybe people will make custom weapon charts for each battle for usability. I also read that this is a remake of Ancient Battles Deluxe from the late VPG. Have you played that and can you give any insight about what changed?
