Yep, recognise that scenario all too well. You buy expensive toys and climbing trees/towers for your cat out of pure love and the four-legged little bugger prefers the box it was delivered in.

My cats usually ignore store bought toys! Give them crunched up paper or tin balls made from Hershey wrappers and they're happy for hours!
