if mean value of age comes 2.62 so should it consider 3 or 2 means should it consider in code2 or code 3

I still don’t get it, maybe I asked in wrong way.

Let’s say I give my respondents these options to answer tenure:
1) Less than a year
2) 2-4 years
3) 5-7years
5) 7-9 years
6) 10 or more years

Now I want to know how organizational trust and tenure are correlated?

Should I now code the answers somehow so I can implement Spearman? My logic tells me that the values of tenure would have to be different to use them in any analysis (Because how can I use, for example Less than a year?)
