If he wanted to keep it as a secret the fact that he wrote a song with Taylor, he could’ve just said “Of course I would like that but at the moment it is not possible” and end of the story but I feel the answer he gave it was like he was ashamed of being asked that. Like, he was all “Nah I don’t see it happening” like he was talking about a person he didn’t like. That was the way his answer felt to me. (I know this was ages ago but YouTube keeps suggesting this video).

I think this interview was the reason Calvin and Taylor broke up. (It was their own fault should have not used any pseudonyms to start with) They were lovely doubly back in March 2016, this interview came out April 2016 and by May 2016 Taylor was having her rebound at the Met Gala. They officially announced the break up in June 2016 where in fact it happened at least a month before when this was aired. 🧐
