Gary Lucas, described as "one of the best and most original guitarists in America" by Rolling Stone, applies his mentor Don Van Vliet (Captain Beefheart)'s "Exploding Note Theory" to his over-the-top improvisational flight during a version of Abdullah Ibrahim's hypnotic jazz classic "Bra Joe from Kilimanjaro" at the Paradox in Tilburg NL. Gary is playing his vintage 1966 Stratocaster.
