FSM Battery Voltage. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal Compare Failure
Description:
Forward Sensing Module (FSM) checks its own system voltage by comparing direct voltage with system voltage in Central electronic module (CEM).Information about system voltage in the Central electronic module (CEM) is transmitted via CAN to the Forward Sensing Module (FSM).The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that: The system voltage differs by more than 2.5 V.The control modules test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of: Ignition switch position II.Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Cause:
Contact resistance,oxidation or open-circuit in the terminals.
Failure Type:
Over Temperature
This sub type is used by the control module to indicate the detection of an internal temperature above the expected range.
