Thanks for this Peter ! Ive had my i525's for 3 weeks now and I have to tell you, they are the best PING iron ive ever used and maybe the best iron that I have ever played. I had been playing the 790's ( 3 years 2 versions ) and never thought id get rid of them. When I had the oportunity to hit the 525's i did so just to see how they felt, well, that turned into a fitting which turned into a purchase. On another note, I am so glad that the current crop of " forged " irons are just stunning to look at, it adds a hint of tradition and history. The great thing is we now get with the best tech we've ever had ! Great time to be a golfer !! Thanks again Peter !

Got fit for the Mizuno 225’s at TXG they are gorgeous, amazing feel with incredible forgiveness and for my swing they launched in a perfect window

Love my i500's that I bought last year. The feel is so nice and the pop from the face when hitting feels like its gonna go miles. I'll probably do a custom fit in maybe 3 years and cant wait for whats in stock in that timeline.

I play Mizuno JPX 921 Tour irons and when struck flush, nothing feels like a Mizuno. However, there in lies the problem. I don't always flush them. I am seriously considering an "upgrade" to the Ping i525 irons and am thrilled you named them as your #1 "forged" iron. Great review Pete!

I have the PING i525 irons and absolutely love them. They feel, sound and look fantastic. PING knows what they are doing. I can appreciate brands like PING and Mizuno for not getting into the crazy marketing trigger words and releasing numerous products every year.

I just received my i525s and use to game iblades. What a difference, absolutely amazing and so true with the miss hits, its not a dramatic loss of distance.

I got fitted the same irons (titleist T100s) a month ago. Love them of all my heart. The feel, the sound, the looks, the performance is amazing❣️

I've been playing with a set of Cleveland 588 MB irons for the past few years. The feel is just so good and they are, in my opinion, possibly the best looking irons ever made. Perfection at address!

I have a dozen rounds complete with my P790s, and love them. I will say that every once in a while, I'll have an insane "flier" that goes 20 - 25 yards further than average. When I was fitted, I din't get on with Pings. The T200 irons were quite nice as well.

I played the Ping S56 iron and they were solid but upgraded to the Ping i500s in 2018 because of the performance benefits incorporated into the clubs.I love 'em! My next set will be the Ping i525s or the next in the series when I wear out my i500s.

I got fitted for p770s before last season. They are absolutely gorgeous to look at, to hit, can shape them too. I don’t see a massive drop in performance on off centre strikes either. I cannot recommend them enough!
Great insight into what a pro like yourself looks for in a set of irons though Pete!

Been using a variety of Mizuno irons for over 15 years. I've had the PING i525 irons in my bag for the last 3 weeks, and while it may sound like heresy, the i525 feel as good as any of the Mizuno irons I have used (and still use). 😱

Wilson Staff Model CBs are amazing. I haven’t tried their forged D9, but reviews are just as solid as they are for the CBs.

I just bought the Mizuno 221’s. Having played MP 30’s, MP 18’s, and having hit MP 20’s quite a bit, these 221’s feel softer and slightly more forgiving than the previous few generations to me.
