As I grow older I find myself watching more videos about Japan and reliving happy memories from living there.

Though we lived on base my mother refused to spend one minute more there than she had to --- and off we would go to discover the countryside and the beauty of Japan. I wasn't blessed with her gift for language but to this day hearing Japanese just seems so right and so calming.

Enjoyed your video very much. Only a few YouTubers filmed this place so I'm glad you did. My wife and I were there in April (it snowed), stayed in a budget ryokan (min 10:21) across from bath #2 or #3, and went to all 9 baths! Another gorgeous and most unique onsen town with free communal baths is Kannawa in Beppu.
