My favorite section in the game, the atmosphere here is just... amazing. I didn't make this song, it's made by Taitoki (originally for The Spiteful), and is used in LISA: The Pointless.

alt ending where Alex and Joel ditch the city idea and live in the woods eating fruits and building a log cabin.

The symbolism in this section is perfectly executed. The autumn colors of the leaves indicate that they're wilting and will fall off the trees, just like how humanity in the post-Flash world is on its last legs and will inevitably die off in the near future. Even with the existence of Buddy (and maybe a handful of other women, depending on what canon you believe), the human race can't feasibly survive for much longer than a couple generations at most. As tragic as this is, there's some peace in knowing that evils like the Infinity Franchise will eventually cease to be along with the rest of humanity. As for Alex and Joel, their journey may ultimately turn out to be pointless, but at some point, maybe they can find some solace in a place like the Last Autumn area.

You find peace.
You find beauty.
But you choose to ignore all of that because you have something to do.
Save your friend.

A part of me thinks that alex ignored all of the beauty of the worlds last autumn just to save his friend joel.

He will literally go back to the shithole world just to save his only friend joel.

This place creeps me out.I mean why would such a beautiful place be uninhabited? It feels like some sort of bait like those lure-fish use to eat fish.I'm probably just really paranoid or something, but I just couldn't stop seeing things behind those trees if I lived there.

I adore the atmosphere in this part. Everything about the music, visuals, and tone is incredible. It gives you the feeling that humanity is going to be gone soon and nature will be all that's left. It's apropos that it comes right after escaping Downtown Olathe; it's like we're seeing what the world will be like once all the chaos and violence has subsided.

This was a really nice area, honestly
After all the bloodshed and intense battle music with the constant fighting, a calm scenery almost devoid of life with soft music in the bg really gives you the feeling of the hard part being over and a sense of longing

Despite the fact that I come back here often, I can't believe its almost been _three_ years since Pointless first released to the world, so much has changed in my life since but Pointless has always stayed just as important and immensely impactful, though this isn't about me.
The feeling this place gave me when I first reached here... the feeling _Pointless_ gave me when I first played it still hasn't been replicated since and I don't think it will again (maybe unless the Monster Update finally releases, haha!) I cannot put to words the emotions I felt here, especially.

Autumn is what cemented this game in my head as a beautiful, haunting experience, after the mentally draining time you have in Downtown Infinity, having to deal with constant masses of savages, barely holding on with your limited supplies, the emotional punch the flashback to the tournament provides, and seeing your closest companion, Joel, slump down and be left behind due to his injuries you're practically _begging_ for a break from the nightmare. So, you end up in The World's Last Autumn, a place that despite not having the prettiest possible visuals (though not to say the art Ed did in the background is anything short of astonishingly impressive) out of context, is soothing in a way hard to describe. The bright, neon, reds and greens of Downtown are replaced with soothing browns and beautiful fall colors, that alone makes the place immediately striking. For me, I was too panicked about Joel to initially take in the surroundings, but once I reached the top of the slope pictured in the video's thumbnail, the scale became clear. This really was it for humanity, no magic solution to save everything, just the last percentage of sad men left in an otherwise disgusting wasteland, nature being the only thing left after the dust settles. Truly an indescribable feeling that is, and one that could only work with the mess of stress and fear you get from the previous area, a phenomenal use of pacing.

That's the end of my rope for being able to give justice the feelings I get from this game, to let it speak for itself: "There really is place quite like this.", even if not just in Pointless itself, I'm not sure _any_ game, could have another place quite like this. Though I strongly doubt either will read this, thank you Taitoki for making such beautiful music, thank you to Ed K. for creating my favorite game of all time, by a long shot, and thank you Clovis for uploading all of these tracks and anyone else reading the inane and embarrassing ramblings from me, an emotional wreck.

The peace is gone.
The people have left.
The nature is all that remains.
For this one last autumn, it is all that remains.

Alex and Joel moved as quickly as possible to stay ahead of the franchise, barely taking in the violenceless and garbageless scenery. I would hate to see this gorgeous place infinitized, crawling with jerseyheads, the trees barren of leaves, and blood everywhere.

As the bus heads for the city, I imagine it's already in the process of that.

This song, this area.
It really brings you the idea of this being the end. After all the garbage, after all the violence: this is it.
If mu never comes, I'll still be satisfied because this game's ending was beautiful.

It's beautiful, I should be happy I made it. But after all I've seen, it'll come back, I miss them, even now. whatever happens, no matter what, never bear the jersey, nothing ever comes out of infinity.

this area hit hard. The euphoria here is unlike anything else in Olathe, and a perfect contrast to the hell that came before it.
The trees and colors are so damn nostalgic to me. It's perfect.

I feel pity for Raymund, maybe he lost it after the white flash, pretty much like almost everyone else.

Even after all the time that's passed, Pointless is still one of my all time favorite games. The pacing, story, gameplay, and bond between Joel and Alex were all weaved together smoothly, like velvet. Worlds Last Autumn was one of my favorite sections in this game, it captured a feeling of exploration and wonder that not many other games can, while still giving you a goal to focus on. Coming across that mansion filled me with curiosity, and dread, since I knew that the one and only companion you can get in that game was no longer able to help Alex, and that for a short period of time, he'd be alone. I won't talk about it too much since the game is better off being experienced, but I will say this, thank you for making such an enjoyable and entertaining experience.
