I am unbelievably hyped for this! We're getting Triangle Strategy, Advance Wars 1+2, Front Mission 1+2 remastered, and Metal Slug Tactics all in a few months time! SRPG fans are eating well! I just hope they all sell so that Square will greenlight a proper FFT or Tactics Ogre sequel!

I was already hyped for this but after completing the latest demo and the release around the corner I’m over the moon. This game is doing things I’ve been starving for. A layered, serious story with deep world building. Characters that are fleshed out with excellent, mature writing. Actual meaningful choices with consequences without shoehorning in some brain dead blank slate “Avatar” character. Plus complex and intriguing battle mechanics and level progression. All of that wrapped in a gorgeous art style with beautiful music and I cannot wait!

I love the action point system for a strategy game. It would suck running out of MP constantly through a long drawn out battle. The choice system and political intrigue seem promising. There are bits of lore/history you can find in the exploration phase, and also buy with Kudos points, that seem to hint towards what consequences your choices could have. Solid game to kick off a monster year for JRPG's.

I really need to sit down and play this demo. I wasn't super into the story elements in the prototype demo from a few years ago, but it looks like they've changed a lot of things for the better, while still keeping the excellent character designs and battles.
Also, it gets huge bonus points for not having any generic units! I know I've mentioned it before, but it's one of my least favorite things about most SRPGs

Just bought a switch lite mostly for this game and a few other srpgs. The demo was a slow go but it really pumps up the drama right before it drops you off -- so well done there! Leaves you wanting more! I'm so happy you're as geeked about this as I am!

The minute you said your choices actually matter you had me sold, Tactics Ogre is my favorite SRPG of all time, and from what you're saying and the visuals of the game, it seems I got a new game to look forward to.

Very excited and have been playing this demo heavily after playing the debut demo heavily. In my first playthrough I was excited to recruit Corentin the Ice Mage from the debut demo, but ended up with a ranger character named Rudolph instead who I actually like far more; which really set in for me just how large of a scope this game is and how much replay it will have. I did play the other path aswell and Corentin was the unit that joined down that route.

And I agree, it is all the things you mentioned, the job promotion immediately made me think of Vandal Hearts and I got even more excited.

Unfortunately I must agree that the cutscenes are just a tad smothering, not a deal breaker by any means but 3 main battles and 2 optionals battles within 3 and a half chapters over 5 hours of gameplay is rather.... Something else

I recently watched the resonant arc podcast for FF tactics. I really hope this game lives up to the likes of FF tactics and tactics ogre.

A well thought out story would be more than welcome.
I pre ordered the collectors edition, can't wait to play the full game.

I was on the fence about this release, waiting to see more gameplay or a review. I trust your judgement so I am picking this up Day One! (But right now I’m still most excited for “Elden Ring”, I’m a Soulsborne junky and been reading George R.R. Martin since 1996 when my Mom bought me “A Game of Thrones” at the grocery store, lol).

I was so happy when they announced it would come out a few days before my bday… I also think the voice acting was really amped up. I remember a few characters were kinda rough in the original demo. Haven’t noticed it from what I’ve played thus far ^_^

I played the demo and enjoyed it so I bought the game digitally and am now in the process of downloading the game onto my Switch. 😍
