Lets see, new house, free hotel while being torn down & rebuilt, new furnishings, new landscape, pain & suffering, yep. The contractor is gonna feel this one as is the city that hired them... 1800 lawsuit!

You would think to idiots can bring a machine there and put the bucket into the blast to divert from the house

Is that 2 homes connected or just 1 home with different paint color?

I feel for the homeowners, but the waste of water is what really makes me sad.

Hoping their basement is not flooded, this residential area doesn't look a like equipped with sump pump. And, most likely water bill will be sent to owner of the house or the contractor of the work that was performed.

Is the house owner going to have to pay that water bill?

Why isn’t someone trying to put a sheet of plywood or something to protect it from going into the ridge vent

My God, I feel awful for these people because as an insurance agent, I can tell you this isn’t covered. The only way these people are covered is if they actually have flood insurance. If they do, they’re good to go, but if they don’t, unfortunately, and this breaks my heart, but they don’t have insurance for this.

They’ll end up having that half of the house totally renovated. Sadly I’m sure the insurance companies will take months deciding what’s approved and who’s paying for everything. It’s take us almost 2 months so far just to get a few shingles replaced after a tree fell and a branch hit the roof.

Not one person, in the city named after Thomas Edison, thought to at least redirect it? Really? Couple 3/4" 4x8 boards, screwed into the side of a fleet vehicle of some type. Maybe there's more to it, but from here, it's reminiscent of a Utilities version of Uvalde.

Is the house owner taking this personally? (It seems a little too directed.)

I’ve never seen a duplex with both sides that look like two completely different houses stuck together!

Idk why they didn’t try and out something in front of the house. A fire truck or any kind of bug truck to try and protect the home. What my first thought seeing this.

Well… The good thing is they won’t have to water their lawn for a while!
