Perfect timing. Just ordered the Legato on an impulse buy. Definitely sounds like an upgrade from the HBB (as it should given the 5x price difference). Hope there will be a more in depth review and comparison!

If you guys are judging the iems through this recording then it's a big mistake. Actual iems sound way different than these recordings(telling from personal experience, with the iems I actually own)

Was so impressed with the Legato when I had the chance to listen to it at CanJam last weekend that I had to pre-order it. The bass is not humongous like those from KZ ZNA. It’s more about bass quality, and lots of it, very very nice. The interesting part about the treble is there’s no lacking any of it. Sure it’s V-shaped but it’s a fun and exciting pair of iems. Definitely not for everyone but it’s a great addition to anyone who likes to collect iems with unique characters.

Leaving out the Maestro, the vocals seem to sound best on the QKZ, particularly on the bussier part of the track. Tremendous value on that set..

That nasally sound isn't so pronounced as such in real life. But what is evident here, as it is in real life, is the relative lowering of much of the music on the Legato compared to its bass. Then the HBB, on the other hand, brings the vocals and music into more clear view and prominence, while still maintaining a healthy bass presence and warmth.

Then the Maestro just...does it all.

EDIT: To be clear here, I personally prefer the HBB’s balance, compared to the Legato. And I like the Maestro most between those 😜

Legato sounds bright & analytical to my ears, especially in the treble region, almost like a planar except it’s not as detailed. I was told it’s a very warm iem but this is not the case. The Maestro is so much warmer & pleasant, as I have said in previous video, Maestro sounds like an upgraded Blon03 which has that inviting warm & lush bass.

Listening to it on my Maestro Mini. I'm super curious to see your full video on the Legato. It's hard to judge through these tests only. Hopefully you can compare them with the Maestro Mini cauz I'd get these if they're worth it. Thanks Dan!

The HBB really does sound like it has so much more life, depth, and vibrance. The Legato just sounds narrow and tinny

funny how on this video qkz hbb clearly better than legato, now i have em both and hearing them myself legato is so much better than qkz hbb, even using the same exact track

I actually bought qkz xhbb after listening the sound sample from here. I'm actually shocked how similar original sound of qkz xhbb and sample tracks from here. I really like the sound signature of the qkz xhbb. It is a blessing for who can't afford expensive warm sounding iems.

I see people complain about the legatos but I love mine. When it is supposed to rumble, it rumbles. I can still listen to any type of music and Still be fine. For $100 it covers like 99% of what I want.


Can I hear some of the dullness in certain tones? Yes. But I also hear it chirp like a bird and rumble like thunder.

Wow the legato thumps (mid bass control). I bet the toughness of the shell material plays a big role in that. The hbb seems to be more opened in the vocals and treble but also cheaper sounding somehow (maybe plastic material used).
