1:05 `84ish Buick LeSabre. The first car I had access to after I got my driver's license. Thing drives like a large format camera.

I shoot 90% B&W. I use bot Tri-X, HP5, and Delta 100. For color, I like Fujifilm Superia for many of the reasons you mentioned- It has that old classic, retro, look.

For budget 400 ISO 120 film I would actually recommend Lomo 400/800. There are rumors that it is basically UltraMax 400 master roll cut in 35/120 format!

Thanks for a superb info slot, i personaly used a variety of older but no longer available film stock, (here in the U.K) my all time colour negative film stock that i used to document the formative years of my 2 son's from the late 1980's onwards was, Agfa Ultra 50 asa, the images were just incredible(after sourcing a top lab that was the state of the art in developing and printing here ; COLAB. ) the colors were vibrant realistic and image quality just blew me away, especially for negative film. The other much loved, but sadly no longer available film stock was Kodak 64 transparency film stock, which in it's heyday was a stunning film.the presently Kodak ecktachrome 100, or Kodak Ektar 100 negative film stock is realy good too.i use Nikon cameras exclusively, lucky to have managed to collect a vast range of manual and AF lenses over the years, to use on my large camera collection; Nikon F, F2, F3, F5 nikkormat Ft3, Nikon Fm2, Nikon FA.with nikon filters as well as B+W glass filters. I'm still passionate about photography as much as when i first got the bug as a small newspaper delivery boy, reading all them old magazines in gritty Black and White, time life, Geo, and numerous periodicals that have long dissapeared, from them heady days of pop icons, vietnam war, david baily, rolling stones/ The beatles/ jimi hendrix, moon landing, muhammad Ali, and almost any subject you could ever think of..WOW what a time to have been alive, actually witnessed all that phonemana and met some incredible people along the way...long may we live..with FILM and beautiful cameras and lenses.🙄📷

Huge shout out to Midwest Photo, stopped by a couple weeks ago after my camera got stolen and they rented me an F100 for the weekend. I know that Matt talks about them all the time, but they really are great guys!

I shot a roll of delta 3200 (120) at an indoor aquarium and those are, to this day, my favourite frames. There's something magic about the grain on that stock!

HP5 is my go-to for 35mm and 120.. for color, I use Portra 400 and 400H for situations like you mentioned, if I want a little warmer look, I go Portra.

On the same page with Ultramax colors, especially moving into autumn here.

You ever shoot slide? I just got a bit of expired Velvia in 35mm and boy does it look nice when exposed right.

I am finding that i am leaning towards Ilford delta 400 as my go to film in b&W. Shout out to Rewind Film in Australia for film stock. Very affordable prices.

No bias needed - Ultramax is amazing.
I don't know why people don't sing 120 Lomo 400's praises more, but I guess I should be glad, since it means it doesn't go out of stock as much as 800...

I use 35mm cameras, I shoot Kodak UItramax myself and am really happy about the results.
However, I also shoot Fujicolor C200 with really satisfying results - especially considering, it's the cheapest 35mm color film I can get my hands on.
I have actually never shot black & white film (except for Polaroids), but I do have 4 different rolls in the fridge including a roll of Ilford Delta 3200, that I will be shooting once I have made sure, I can develop them (it's too expensive to send them to a lab around here, so I have to do it myself).

i was about to ask what's a good film stock for medium format that has a really good amount of grain, until 4:46

I've recently fallen in love with Ferrania. It's so contrasty. Otherwise, Fomapan or Tri-X.

I really love delta 3200 in both format, but my every day b&w film is trix, it’s the taste that I like. I need to try ultramax, never used. Really love gold 200 and portra 160. Thank for sharing Matt!

I too use HP5 as my daily driver but I do have a thing for Fomapan in 35mm at the moment. Colour film In 35mm is ColorPlus 200 for the nostalgic feel and Ektar 100 for when I want a higher end film. Its a bit cheaper than Portra and does like to be pushed 2 stops to 400 without losing any of the qualities I love from it.
