Mix 2 ponds of baking soda in a 3 gallon of water in a Hudson sprayer. Spray liberally on boards and let it soak in. After it dries brush off any residual baking soda with a soft brush or broom.
Then seal with shingle oil.
So far I have tried this with pine, fir, redwood and oak with great success. Have a blessed day.

Hey Steve... how often do you apply the shingle oil to your siding, and what brand shingle oil do you use? Your getting a great deal @ $50 per 5 seem to find it for less than $80 online...
