This is the second video in the series of five. I recommend watching them in order. There is great interest in using 'Fortuniana' rose as a rootstock/understock for other roses, especially in warm climates with light soils, where it excels. Yet 'Fortuniana' is notorious for being difficult to root and rather difficult to graft.

Various people have their own methods that work for them. A couple good tutorials are by Bob and Kitty Belendez, on how they root the cuttings

And then how they chip bud their roses onto 'Fortuniana':

This second video covers the basics of equipment needed for successful grafting (really of any crop), as well as good grafting technique for maximizing success.

Here's the full list:
1 Fortuniana as a Rose Rootstock

2 Basic Grafting Equipment and Technique

3 Rooting Fortuniana Cuttings

4 Cleft Bench Grafting Fortuniana

5 Chip Budding onto Fortuniana

and an addition 8/29/20:
6 Regular Cleft Grafting
