I used to practice going to see a play or music alone and standing in the middle of the lobby. I would compose myself and relax, and tried to look at and smile at every single person. It became more and more comfortable. I would also do what my mother often did which was just “wave” to “someone” (but really no one) across this crowded lobby. 😂 You look open and friendly and not alone.

Allowing someone to finish what they were saying after an interruption is so so important. I always sat with a group of girls at lunch in highschool. I was the only one who, for some reason, everyone felt like they could talk over. I was often interrupted during the rare time I tried to speak. I still have very good feelings towards the one girl who would see that happen and turn to me and ask me about what I was saying. I remember her as being so kind and so warm and, over a decade later, I'm still thankful for the effort she made to include me.

"Charisma makes people attractive but what is it actually? Charisma is really just a blend of two key traits: warmth and competence."

Before I walk into a room I put my phone up, lift my head, let out a big breath, tell myself show time, this is my run way and enter the room making eye contact. And strangers tell me I look like a Hollywood star. It’s all the energy

I found that reminding myself that I deserve to take up space is such a game changer in meetings where I feel uncomfortable. Sometimes the physical cues help our mind remember that we deserve our chair at the table.

Love the tips on Body Language, it's ... not easy, but you're so right about this !! I've improved a little bit this year and one thing that really helped me grow confidence outside is to also change the way I act at home :

Not rushing, taking my time, taking space in my own apartment, calmer/slower gestures, bigger movements, planning & being more mindful rather than reacting to things, like ... why was I sneaking around in my own house, going straight from A to B hugging the wall and cutting corners as close as possible, opening cupboards or my fridge barely wide enough to slip a hand in there and grab an item ... before acting confident in a crowd, that shift in mindset that I don't have to try and take as little space as possible, that any space is my space and you're all living in it, helped a lot!

Fascinating video, Let's stop taking relationship and family for granted. I have battled depression since my wife left me. I have tried all I can to make her see that I love her with everything I am made of but she has insisted on leaving. This has made me so empty, and I do not know what to do. I can barely function properly at work. I am frustrated and miserable. I really miss her.

I like all of your videos, but I'm pinning this one!

Another thing I've noticed is that poor communicators (low charisma) use common experiences to hijack conversations. Eg. "I went to New York, too. It was so funny because..." Good communicators use common experiences to support the conversation. Eg. "New York is fun. Do you have any taxi stories?" Maybe not the best example, but something that encourages the other person to keep talking about their experiences.

I am ridiculously extroverted and usually in the centre of the room cracking jokes. Or on a stage. One of the best feelings is bringing people together and watching them flurish. A sweet recent moment was when the very quiet girl in church took me and said, "I appreciate how much you make me feel seen. I had so much fun today." Before she returned home to her books. 🎉❤

The "you were saying" tip is something I've been following regularly, because it happens to me so often that I get cut off for whatever reason and I end up feeling like nobody cares what I had to say (in general I'm the type who doesn't get taken seriously in social situations). I wouldn't want anyone out there to feel the way I've been feeling and I want them to remember that they matter as much as anyone else in the room.

Embracing your authentic self and exuding confidence are key to becoming the most charismatic and alluring woman in the room. It's about owning your unique qualities, cultivating inner charisma, and expressing genuine interest in others. Confidence, warmth, and genuine authenticity are magnetic qualities that draw people to you effortlessly.

Thanks, Jillz, this was another great video. I'm here again to urge you to create more guided meditation audio files. I've been listening to yours daily and it has made a huge difference in my life. Please consider making more. Perhaps one for a quick mid-day break and another for use before bed?

As a pretty tall and curvy autistic woman with ADHD this whole charisma thing seems to come with some extra challenging aspects but I realised a lot of the things listed in the video I already do and learning to do them with more awareness will actually help me both be even more charismatic and especially be more I n t e n t i o n a l l y charismatic like for job interviews, and it helps me to pause from it from time to time as well. Because doing all these things for an autistic person can be really exhausting and learning about these small details of masking is very helpful in learning to de-mask as well. Thank you very much for sharing all these things you learned Jillz!

hello, gosh i always felt i was off and did not know what it was, then i saw your shorts and i kinda knew i was not in my feminine and i have chased away a lot of the opposite gender from my life with negative energy and inwardly, i sought attention and approval. But watching your videos helped me understand better where i was want to be. And most Importantly detach from the outcome while i am in the process. Thank You so MUCH!
