Love parchment paper - cooking, arts/crafts liner, so many uses! I buy the precut sheets from restaurant supply store - they offer traditional white and also unbleached brown.

I love watching these to see how everyday things are made!

I've used this product to line my pans for baking brownies, cakes, and cookies for many years, but never knew what it was made of or what the slick coating was (silicone). Great video!

Best stuff and a must have for any cook....keeps messes to a MINIMUM too..

The paper is waterproof, but wetting it makes it more shapeable, not because the paper itself is wet, but because the water allows it to stick to the container, an interesting distinction

"the paper is WATERPROOF, but you can wet the paper to fit into a mould" ... Isn't water-resistant better?

Going to do it the next time I bake

The machine stamps the box with a lot code so that, if there a problem with an individual roll, the factory can trace the error back to to the original spindle, realise it's all been sold and say "Fuck it. Keep going!"

This is the very brand of parchment paper I have in my kitchen. It's good stuff.

How can you put something with a silicone treatment into your composting bin?

Love this stuff, but the box does NOT allow you to tear off a piece, or a straight piece anyway 😂 I cut it with scissors or it's a mess

Fascinating that they use eucalyptus trees which are colloquially known as gasoline trees because they burn with a ferocity owing to its flammable Euc oil.

How can the silicone-treated paper be compostable?

MoritzvonSchweinitz

This is the first time I’ve ever seen theme do a brand that isn’t totally obscure

Why are you saying putting silicone in the compost is a good idea? It is not biodegradable
