Had the same issue with my Canon 500D, following is what i did that fixed the issue:
1. Take a backup of the photos on your Laptop \ Desktop
2. Format the SD Card in the Camera with low level format option checked \ selected.

If the above does not fix your issue you've got  a hardware problem with the Mirror \ Shutter and needs to be fixed by a trained professional \ technician.

awh man. I JUST did the same thing too. Im pissed that i spent that much money on it for that to happen so soon.

Same problem here... I think it is an electronic/software problem?? The shutter seems to work fine. It takes good pics.

Err 30 – Malfunctions related to the shutter have been detected. Turn the power switch “ON” to turn the on the power again. Remove & reinstall the battery. Use a Canon Lens. If the instructions do not solve the problem, Please contact your nearest Authorized Canon service center. NEVER play around with the shutter as there are very delicate levers & springs.

Sorry I didn't solve it. I sold the camera.
